The Goal

We understand, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do and use an easy template on Squarespace. While that works for a while, once your business begins to boom, your website needs to grow with you. That’s exactly what happened with Stepping Stone Landscaping. Since we were starting to bring more awareness to their website with ad management and social media management, our main goal was to take their website to the next level, and provide an easier user experience to the influx of potential clients we were beginning to receive!

The Strategy

Previously, the written content on the website was very accessible and and easy read, so we knew we wanted to keep that same tone of voice in the new website. The two biggest pieces of the strategy were to show off how important the team is to the business, and to make sure that the new website has the perfect content to build in SEO. Before the website rebuild, there weren’t any intentional SEO strategies happening on their old site. Making sure that this website not only looked good, but performed well, was of the utmost importance! Because Stepping Stone Landscaping is all about customer service, we wanted to add another level of user experience on the website. With the owner and the employees, we recorded and edited service videos for each page. The owner would explain why their services are different (and better!) than their competitors, and we’d record the crews performing that service.

The Results

Not only have we received excellent feedback from clients and the team about the new site, but it is also performing miles above the previous site! Compared to the previous year, we’re seeing a 15% improvement in bounce rate. The amount of people leaving the site without taking action has decreased! We also see a 57% increase in organic traffic, meaning the SEO efforts are paying off. We’re also seeing the amount of views on the videos grow each day, so the videos we created are helping our clients understand our services.
