The KWAY Experience

This is what it looks like when a hairstylist who is uncomfortable posting on social media becomes a social media guru herself!

The Goal

Markiesha wanted to take her social page to the next level. At the time, she was just posting when she could, wasn’t sure what would perform well, and would use any fonts, colors, and post styles. While the ultimate goal for socials is to maintain her current audience and bring in some additional bookings, we also wanted to get on a more consistent posting schedule and find branding that works for her.

The Strategy

The first piece to tackle was figuring out the branding that Markiesha resonated with the most. She loved the light purple that she was using previously, but felt that color alone didn’t portray her as well. We landed on choosing colors and fonts to portray that you will have fun while sitting in her chair, but can also expect a luxurious experience. The next piece of the puzzle was the content that we wanted to push out. Her main goal was to be seen as an expert in her field, and provide fun forms of education, while sprinkling in posts about her work and her personality to really give the full KWAY Experience. Lastly was consistency- we needed to not only post, but post in an organized way. We agreed to post twice per week, and sprinkle in a few Reels and videos when it makes sense.

The Results

In 6 short months, the results speak for themselves. We’ve seen over 25,000 views (over 700% increase year over year), over 5,300 viewers (50% increase year over year), over 800 interactions (390% increase year over year), 1,078 page visits (119% increase year over year), and 104 follows (503% increase year over year).
